Mechelle Rodriguez, administrative assistant to the dean of instruction at Wright College, is dedicated to making sure class schedules are organized and efficient semester after semester. Mechelle’s work, which she describes as both challenging and fun, not only supports her direct colleagues and office, but it sets both faculty and students up for a successful term.
Despite the behind-the-scenes nature of her role, Mechelle always offers a friendly smile and her support to students, one of the many reasons she received a City Colleges of Chicago Luminary Award earlier this year.
“The ultimate goal is to find the best course of action for our students and help them be successful,” she said. “It’s very rewarding.”
