When Ayomide Pelumi moved to Chicago from Nigeria with his parents and brother, he knew he wanted to continue his education.
When a friend told him about Kennedy-King College, which wasn’t far from his home, he thought it would be a good way to study business and save money before he transferred to a four-year university.
While at KKC, Ayomide was part of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society and utilized the Transfer Center as he thought about where he wanted to transfer. He also earned an impressive GPA with a full course load.
Now, Ayomide has been accepted to the University of Illinois at Chicago and will work toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting starting this fall.
