Morgan Simmons

Originally set on attending another CPS high school, Morgan Simmons decided that Goode would be the best fit her – and the bonus would be that she would be in classes with her sisters Michelle and Megan (they are triplets). As a high achieving student, the challenging academics and Early College program at Goode were appealing, and now that she has earned her Associate Degree in Computer Science from Daley College a month before her high school diploma from Goode, she knows she made the right decision.

In addition to being a part of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society at Daley College, Morgan was also busy at Goode. She was a part of the National Honor Society, Science Olympiad team, a Goode Student Ambassador, played badminton, bowled, managed the volleyball and softball teams, and played basketball for all four years. As she heads to Southern Illinois University this fall, she isn’t sure what she will be involved in– she wants to see how the first semester goes.

She is interested in both mechanical engineering and business, and may follow in her mom’s footsteps – she earned her BS in Business (Data Processing) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as well. No matter what direction she chooses, she knows she is prepared academically to pursue her bachelor’s degree thanks to all the hard work she has put in over the past few years.
